About The Club
Eaton's Light Yacht Club History
The Eaton Light Yacht Club was started in 1976 by a group of 20 Eaton’s Neck residents who wanted to race and socialize. Since then, the club has expanded to over 60 members, encompassing families from the Greater Northport, NY area.
The Club hosts monthly social parties at many stunning homes throughout the season. The club dues support the purchase of food and drinks, and also pay for the upkeep of the club moorings and racing buoys. The club also hosts an annual meeting brunch at local venues such as Crab Meadow Golf Clubhouse, La Casa, and Mac's and that is well attended every year.
Although geared more toward sailboats, many of our members own power vessels, and some members do not own a vessel at all but join for the social aspect of meeting new friends, and neighbors, and networking. Our Club is a recognized Yacht Club that shares reciprocity privileges with the Huntington Yacht Club for restaurant use, and we are also a member of the Greater Huntington Council of Yacht and Beach Clubs.
As we approach our 50th year, we are a growing club and always looking to have new members join us for fun on the water and shoreside.
